Yes. I'm encouraging you to walk around onset with a SHOT in your hand.

It's just one S.H.O.T.

(It's also just a weird little thing I cobbled together for myself. Try it. Have fun. Get a little weird.)

Install or update SHOT over USB. No firmware development tools required.

Development firmware: dev.9 has not yet passed full physical acceptance. Verify on a non-show device before relying on it in production.

So what the hell is this thing?

I cobbled together a little box that fires OSC commands, lets me see what's going on, and helps me figure out which bit of the network is being an asshole. Four tabs. Four jobs. No laptop required once it's set up.

S Show
Twelve big buttons. Fire an Eos macro, or whatever OSC command you assign. Once, when you let go.
H Health
Is Wi-Fi behaving? Where the hell is OSC going? Check the network and change the destination without the disconnect-and-reconnect dance.
O OSC
See what's coming in and going out. Rename a button or fix its command right on the device.
T Traffic
Pick a universe and watch real sACN levels, slot by slot. Just watching. It doesn't transmit.

Connect your SHOT

Checking firmware…

Use a data-capable USB cable and desktop Chrome or Edge. Close any serial monitor before connecting.

In the installer, leave “Erase device” unchecked to preserve settings. Update requires an existing SHOT partition layout.

This browser does not support USB installation. Open this page in desktop Chrome or Edge. Open the installer through localhost or HTTPS, not directly as a file.

Verifying the packaged firmware…

After installation

  1. SHOT restarts into Show. Check the version in the header.
  2. For a first installation, join SHOT-Setup, then open 192.168.4.1 to enter your Wi-Fi and OSC destination.
  3. Open Traffic, tap the universe number, and select your lighting universe.
Connection trouble?

Hold BOOT, tap RESET, then release BOOT and connect again. If Windows changes the port, choose the newly appeared USB serial device. Use the complete image only for first installation/recovery.
